The Overblikk restaurant is a training restaurant for students studying Hospitality courses at the Kirkwall campus – Orkney College UHI.
The table was laid out in a very professional manner. My place card also had what I had ordered on it.
Service was faultless. The first course was a brilliant Ham hock terrine with Melba toast.
The main course was well cooked Turkey,2 types of stuffing ,pig in blanket, served with roast potatoes, cabbage, macadoine of neep/carrot/parsnip . A separate tray held Gravy, cranberry and bread sauces .
Desert was either traditional Christmas pud with a sauce or a trio of brownie , cherry mouse and choux covered with white chocolate. Coffee /tea and mince pies to finish.
Well done to the students who cooked and served on this busy day.
