Could you be a Celebrant?

The national charity, The Humanist Society Scotland who are celebrating their 30th anniversary are recruiting people for celebrant training including in Orkney.

The Society is specifically looking for applicants from:

  • Caithness
  • Sutherland
  • Ross & Cromarty
  • Perthshire
  • Shetland
  • Orkney
  • Dumfries & Galloway
  • Western Isles
  • North West Scotland

If you are an enthusiastic individual and an  excellent communicator this could be for you. If successful you would  join a team of over 130 celebrants across Scotland

Successful applicants will be trained in welcoming and naming ceremonies before moving on to be trained for marriages, civil partnerships and funerals. Some of this will be classroom learning and you will be mentored by an existing celebrant in your area.

“All our celebrants are passionate about celebrating life and we are looking for individuals with finely tuned interpersonal skills and a flair for writing.”
