Exploring the role of Orcadians, Highlanders and French Canadians in the contest for the Ojibwe fur trade will be the subject of a talk on Thursday 30th of May , 7.30pm in Stromness Town Hall.

The talk by PhD student Jeremy Kingsburgh from the University of Iowa is entitled: Birch Bark Canoe Versus the Bateau .
