It was cold, wet and windy on Saturday but nothing deters Santa. He took time out of his busy workshop to visit Orkney’s two main towns.

First he stopped off in Kirkwall where he toured the streets with his helpers and the Orkney Rotarians.

Next stop for Santa was Stromness where he hoped to arrive by the Graemsay Ferry but there were a few problems.

Undaunted the Stromness RNLI leapt to Santa’s aid and he was able to come ashore.

When the time to go came Santa left a message for children in Orkney and all around the world.
