Maree Todd SNP MSP for the Highland & Islands is encouraging local businesses and organisations in Orkney to apply for membership of Scotland House.
Businesses which are looking to develop new trade, investment and partnership opportunities can be supported by Scotland House.
Scotland House provides Scottish businesses with working spaces, meeting rooms, facilities and support in central London. It also provides members with networking opportunities and actively encourages collaborative work across sectors.
Membership is available to Scottish public sector organisations with an economic development function, or private sector organisations who are currently trading, have a base in Scotland and are committed to growth.
Scotland House also serves as a permanent home to Scotland House Partners, the Scottish Government, Scottish Enterprise, the Highlands & Islands Enterprise and VisitScotland.
Maree Todd said:
“London is a financial centre that provides a wealth of international business prospects, however, for Scottish businesses seeking growth, London can be a costly place to conduct business. Scotland House therefore plays a vital role in assisting Scottish businesses in their growth and development plans by offering an affordable co-working, meeting and event space right in the heart of London.
“By promoting innovation, diversity, sectoral and cultural strengths in Scottish businesses, Scotland House also plays a critical role in raising Scotland’s international profile.
“This is a fantastic opportunity to attract investment and increase international business trade, so I would urge local businesses within the Highlands & Islands who are interested in growing their business to consider taking advantage of what the hub has to offer.”
