New Exhibition on Hoy Looks at the Lives of the Men of HMS Pheasant

The lives of the men from HMS Pheasant are highlighted in an exhibition at the Hoy Kirk Heritage Centre for the month of March.

Find out about the fate of HMS Pheasant which sunk off the coast of Rora Head, Hoy on 1st of March 1917 and of her crew.

This is a little-known story and the exhibition features poems contributed by Stromness Writing Group.

The exhibition is the work of Orcadian artist Martin Laird, Cary Welling of the Northlight Gallery, Stromness and Fiona Grahame who has been researching the lives of the men.
