Then, I was walking up the main street in Stromness, when I saw this….
I’ve seen the whale skull outside the Orca Hotel many times, but I’d never noticed the little moss garden on top of it, and I think it’s lovely – like a little world, there on the whale skull, with hills and valleys and tiny, tiny trees. And an extinct volcano in the middle!
