Monday was cold, dreich and windy- nothing special about that. It is December in Orkney. But what was special was Orkney Rotary Club Walking With Santa.

The Orkney Rotarians were helping Santa by joining with him on a walk round the Peedie Sea from dawn to dusk. This was to highlight their Christmas gift fund this year.

They want to raise £500 so that they can give Christmas gifts to every resident in an Orkney Care Home and to support charitable causes in the islands.

Well they have reached their target but you can still contribute and help Santa and the Orkney Rotary Club who do excellent work all year round.
