February the Twenty-sixth……..There’s no smoke without fire…..and there’s no spawn without frogs!  Here’s one, sunning itself amidst the fruits of its labours……

February the Twenty-seventh……….Last year’s fallow patch….becomes this years mixed veg patch…starting with rows of garlic….

We likes garlic.  You know the saying – If your friends don’t like you smelling of garlic – get new friends!

And – we used to mix a bit of finely chopped garlic into Cat Souxie’s food to stop her getting fleas. It worked. A very kind vet gave me that advice when I said I didn’t like  the idea of the chemicals in flea collars – either for Souxie, or for the humans stroking her!

February the Twenty-eighth…….Binscarth Woods….trees communing…..reaching for the light……

March the First……….It’s officially SPRING!!!!!………And it’s light enough for Mike to go for a walk when he finishes work for the day.  The light is going a bit as he turns for home, but he sets off in broad daylight.  Yay!

The Bay of Hinderayre – at 10 past 6 of an evening……

March the Second………New life arrives in the garden every day….today….Greenfinches….flashes of colour across the meadow…….

March the Third………….Muck spreadin’…….don’t put your washing out!

March the Fourth…………What the Bells are reading on World Book Day………
