Today 7th of April:
Strong winds easing with snow showers becoming less frequent and longer sunny spells in the afternoon, Orkney will likely be mainly dry in the afternoon, a few showers lingering for Shetland. Still feeling quite chilly. Maximum temperature 4 °C.
Tonight:
Showers dying out completely in the evening but cloud soon increasing with further sleet or snow from the west spreading in after midnight. Strengthening southwesterly winds later in the night. Minimum temperature -1 °C.
Thursday 8th of April:
Rain or sleet on Thursday morning becoming more showery during the day and turning to rain, there will be some bright or sunny spells too. Strong southwesterly winds. Maximum temperature 7 °C.
Outlook for Friday to Sunday:
Colder with northerly gales and wintry showers Friday, further wintry showers on Saturday but less windy. A few showers continuing on Sunday but becoming dry and bright with lighter winds.
