Weather Forecast: Mainly cloudy with some rain but becoming drier

Today 9th May:

Shetland will be dull with strong easterly winds and some rain or drizzle, this easing in the afternoon. Some drizzle in the morning over Orkney then becoming drier and brighter in the afternoon. Maximum temperature 10 °C.


Rain and winds easing across Shetland in the evening. Then mainly dry with clear spells and some fog patches overnight. A few showers arriving later. Minimum temperature 5 °C.

Monday 1oth May:

Mainly cloudy and misty with patchy rain and haar. The rain will turn more persistent and heavier in the afternoon, especially over Shetland. Maximum temperature 12 °C.

Outlook for Tuesday to Thursday:

A few showers on Tuesday then mainly dry with bright spells on Wednesday and Thursday. Some patchy haar possible at times.
