Weather Forecast: Cloudy at first, rain arriving soon, turning persistent and heavier.

Today 10th May:

A mainly cloudy and misty start to the day with patchy rain and haar. The rain will turn more persistent and heavier in the afternoon, especially over Shetland. Light easterly breeze. Maximum temperature 12 °C.

Tonight:

Rain clearing during the evening, lingering later for Shetland. Low cloud and mist will begin to clear later in the night with some clearer spells possible. Winds strengthening around dawn. Minimum temperature 6 °C.

Tuesday 11th May:

A few showers at first on Tuesday but becoming mainly dry with some bright or sunny spells later in the day. Fresh southeastery winds. Maximum temperature 13 °C.

Outlook for Wednesday to Friday:

Largely dry and bright with a fair amount of sunshine and light winds. The risk of some haar is never too far away especially for the east coasts of Shetland.
