May the Seventh ………….Our Wedding Anniversary! Where did that time go? It seems like no time since we went off to Stroud Registry Office with two witnesses (people from work), and had pizza and Champagne afterwards. Then, Mike phoned his parents to tell them we’d got married – they weren’t surprised, as they knew him and knew how much he dislikes a fuss. Then, off to Portugal for a week, from where we sent postcards to everyone else letting them know we were married. Very happy memories.
I should mention that, by that time both my parents had passed from this life, so…………………

May the Eighth…………….Lambs!…… The fields are full of them now.… A lot of twins this year…..I always wonder how such lively, sprightly, cheery little things turn into the lumpen thing which is your average sheep!

May the Ninth……….Taking life one day at a time……..something to admire, enjoy or appreciate in each day….Hoy never fails……..

May the Tenth………Golden reflections in raindrop rippled water……..Who cares if it’s raining?………Jeremy Fisher weather…….

May the Eleventh……..We heard that, in view of the difficulties experienced due to the Covid epidemic, the Visitor Centre at The Tomb of the Eagles in South Ronaldsay….https://theorkneynews.scot/2017/05/04/bernie-bell-orkney-walks-with-stories-the-eagle-cairn/ is going to stay closed, permanently.
At first we were very sorry to hear this…then started remembering and appreciating our times there with the place and the people……past and present.
And also appreciating that things change, places change. Life moves on and maybe The Eagle Cairn will now shift into whatever is next for The Ancestors.

May the Twelfth……..The year moves on….in a field nearby – a bull with cows and calves. He spends the day plodding around the field, bellowing – letting everyone know that it’s his field, they’re his cows, and his calves.
The calves skip about enjoying their new-found freedom and not caring tuppence whose field it is…………..

May the Thirteenth………There must be baby birds somewhere….we’re constantly re-filling the feeder….taking care not to put out whole nuts……..Ya’ll know why….
