Weather Forecast: Bright spells and showers.

Today 22nd May:

Rather cloudy across Shetland with showers or perhaps some longer spells of rain. Orkney will be brighter with sunny spells and perhaps the odd shower. Feeling cool in the moderate or fresh northwesterly winds. Maximum temperature 10 °C.


Mainly dry with broken cloud cover, bright or clear spells. However, an isolated light shower is possible and it will be chilly as winds fall light. Minimum temperature 2 °C.

Sunday 23rd May:

A mainly dry and bright day with sunny spells and just the outside chance of light showers. Southeasterly winds freshening across Orkney later in the day. Maximum temperature 12 °C.

Outlook for Monday to Wednesday:

Cloudy with showers or longer outbreaks of rain on Monday. Fresh to strong northeast winds at times. Patchy rain on Tuesday then mainly dry and bright on Wednesday. Cool.
