Today 23rd May:

A fine and mainly dry day with some good spells of sunshine, perhaps just an isolated light shower across Orkney in the afternoon. Winds light across Shetland but a freshening southeasterly developing for Orkney. Maximum temperature 12 °C.

Tonight:

Remaining dry with some late evening sunshine then clear spells overnight, although cloud tending to increase, especially across Orkney, through the early hours. Strengthening easterly winds. Minimum temperature 4 °C.

Monday 24th May:

A bright morning, some sunny spells across Shetland, but outbreaks of rian edge north into Orkney through the morning and then Shetland later in the afternoon. Occasionally strong northeasterly winds. Maximum temperature 10 °C.

Outlook for Tuesday to Thursday:

Bright with showers Tuesday and Wednesday, perhaps merging to give a longer spells of rain for a time on Tuesday, with northerly winds easing. Mainly dry with sunny spells Thursday.
