1 New #Covid Case in Orkney

The cumulative total of Covid cases in Orkney now stands at 139 with one more additional positive test published today. There have been 10 new cases recorded in Orkney over the last 7 days.

The whole of Scotland is now at Level 0. Please follow FACTS:

You should:

  • wear a face covering
  • avoid crowded places and stay 1m away from other people
  • clean hands and surfaces regularly
  • get the vaccine when you are offered it
  • self-isolate and get tested if you have COVID-19 symptoms
  • download the Protect Scotland app

The stats for Scotland published on 19th of July are as follows:

  • 1,464 new cases of COVID-19 reported
  • 15,660 new tests for COVID-19 that reported results
    • 10.3% of these were positive
  • 0 new reported death(s) of people who have tested positive (noting that Register Offices are now generally closed at weekends) 
  • 45 people were in intensive care yesterday with recently confirmed COVID-19
  • 536 people were in hospital yesterday with recently confirmed COVID-19
  • 3,981,950 people have received the first dose of the Covid vaccination and 2,978,746 have received their second dose

People who visit the islands are asked to take 2 lateral flow tests before doing so.
