A mostly dull day with persistent low cloud. This thickest near eastern coasts where some fog is likely across the east of Orkney in the morning, then Shetland in the afternoon. Some brighter spells in the west at times. Maximum temperature 16 °C.
Extensive low cloud through this evening and night, but likely to remain dry. Light to moderate east or northeast winds. Minimum temperature 9 °C.
Saturday 24th July:
Low cloud for much of the day, with mist or fog patches near eastern coasts. Cloud bases higher in the west with some breaks possible here. Light easterly winds. Maximum temperature 16 °C.
Outlook for Sunday to Tuesday:
Low cloud tending to thin and break at times on Sunday before returning overnight. Further cloud breaks on Monday, but a chance of showers. Showery outbreaks of rain on Tuesday. Information from The Met Office
