Today 3rd August:

A fare days weather in prospect with many staying dry, but the odd, isolated, light shower may appear. Bright and sunny spells combining with light winds to lift temperatures higher than yesterday. Maximum temperature 17 °C.

Tonight:

Remaining dry with late bright and sunny spells then clear periods, however some lower cloud may occasionally push across Shetland. Winds light to moderate southerly. Minimum temperature 9 °C.

Wednesday 4th August:

Mainly dry with further bright and sunny spells, but some areas of lower cloud sporadically appearing around Shetland. Chance of showers from late evening and overnight. Southerly winds quite light. Maximum temperature 18 °C.

Outlook for Thursday to Saturday:

Sunshine and showers, though outbreaks will tend to remain relatively infrequent, with the Northern Isles likely to be one of the drier parts of Scotland through the outlook period. Information from The Met Office
