Week Thirty-one – One Day At A Time

By Bernie Bell

July the Thirtieth……………..Old stone & lichens……..Could be  a broch, a Kirk, a castle, a mill, a manor-house……

July the Thirty-first…………….Someone called by for a cuppa…….Only from Stromness, but not seen for quite some time…….It’s good to be able to do this again, tho’ still with some caution………He brought a pressie ….Orkney Marshmallows……He can come again….

August the First…………..Is it modern art?……….Is it Neolithic ‘writing’?…….It’s just a stone, by the Bay………..

August the Second…………..On the Bay……A Black-throated Diver………….

August the Third………..Mike resumes Yoga after a summer break…..Namaste….

August the Fourth……….The Orkney skies are always interesting………Then – it rained…….’Didn’t it rain, children, didn’t it rain……..’

August the Fifth………………Set-aside……..This is what happens when a farmer is good enough to sow a conservation mix…..

Last year this field was full of bugs, butterflies and birds……This year….Same again…….A GOOD THING!
