Stones & Lava At The Point Of Ayre

I’ve previously described a walk to the Point of Ayre, Tankerness …  https://theorkneynews.scot/2019/01/05/orkney-walks-more-matters-geological/ .  We did that walk again and I can’t resist presenting some of the extra-ordinary shapes and patterns that we found among the rocks………………

Could this be a fishy fossil ?
This reminds me of those huge fossil mammoth teeth
A very determined Piddock

Sitting on the lava flow we could easily imagine a Giant Galapagos Iguana basking on the rocks below us.  We didn’t see an Iguana, or a Blue-footed Booby bird – just a cluster of sea-birds on a rock, and we wondered why were they all gathered on that particular rock, when there were plenty of others around them?  Any ideas?
