Talbot Rice Gallery invites applications for the Talbot Rice Residents programme which runs from January 2022 to January 2024.
Deadline: Monday 13 September, 5pm
The Residents programme provides time and support for emerging, or re-emerging, artists based anywhere in Scotland within the unique context of Talbot Rice Gallery, Edinburgh College of Art and the University of Edinburgh.
Residents receive year-round curatorial, technical and practical support from the Talbot Rice team – including regular studio visits, new writing on their practice, plus workshops and advice sessions. Residents receive an annual Artist Fee, as well as an individual budget for production and travel. The programme also includes group research trips and other key moments of activity, including creative workshops with invited guests, where Residents are brought together either digitally or in person.
Thanks to the unique position within Edinburgh College of Art and the University of Edinburgh, Talbot Rice Residents have access to technical workshops, as well as studio and desk space. Residents are also invited to explore the University collections and academic resources to further their research, as well as considering using the diverse areas of the University campus to show works, or works in progress during their time on the programme.
