It will be a mostly dry day with some bright or sunny spells. An isolated shower or two can’t be ruled out. A light to moderate northerly breeze. Maximum temperature 13 °C.

Tonight:

Mainly dry with some clear spells, the best of these over Orkney. However, the odd shower around and patchy rain may nudge into Shetland for a time. Breezy. Minimum temperature 7 °C.

Wednesday 6th October:

Mainly dry and bright with some sunny spells, although an isolated shower is possible. Rain reaching Orkney later in the evening. Maximum temperature 12 °C.

Outlook for Thursday to Saturday:

Windy with outbreaks of rain on Thursday, heavy at times. Often dry on Friday and Saturday with some bright spells. Mild and winds moderate to fresh from the southwest.
