A mostly cloudy morning with outbreaks of occasionally heavy squally rain and strong westerly winds. Brighter, cooler conditions in the afternoon with occasional showers. Winds turning northerly and staying quite strong. Maximum temperature 13 °C.
Tonight:
Winds gradually easing overnight and showers becoming less frequent although Orkney holding on to a few heavy showers during the evening. A chilly night with some clear spells expected. Minimum temperature 5 °C.
Friday 15th October:
Cool with some sunny spells and a few well scattered showers. Westerly winds strengthening during the afternoon. Maximum temperature 9 °C.
Outlook for Saturday to Monday:
Bright on Saturday with just a few showers and light winds, increasing cloud later as rain approaches overnight and on Sunday. Strengthening winds too, patchy rain on Monday.
