‘We want to celebrate the social work, social care and early years workers for their dedication and professionalism, which has come to the fore during the COVID-19 pandemic.”
SSSC Chief Executive Lorraine Gray
The Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) will be marking its 20th anniversary by sharing the stories of those in our social services who at all times, but especially during the Covid pandemic have been on the front line of supporting people in their local communities.
Lorraine Gray SSSC Chief Executive, said :
‘This is a valued and qualified workforce. Not just anyone can do this job, you need the right values and commitment. If you have that, it is a career that offers opportunities for training and qualifications and career progression too.
‘We look forward to celebrating the vital role of the workforce over the coming year by sharing stories about registration and highlighting key moments in the 20 year journey we’ve been on together.’
Services and workers can get involved by sharing their registration stories, posting on social media using #SSSC20Years to say why they are proud to be registered or hosting a 20 themed celebration. Click on this link for more: SSSC 20 Years toolkit.
