Light rain clearing northern Shetland through the morning. Otherwise dry with hazy sunshine, turning rather cloudy late afternoon. Fresh occasionally strong southwesterly winds, especially across Shetland. Maximum temperature 9 °C.
Rain spreading east overnight, occasionally heavy through the early hours. Then clearing to leave scattered showers by morning with a strong northwesterly wind. Minimum temperature 3 °C.
Wednesday 19th January:
Some bright intervals and scattered showers through the day, turning wintry in the afternoon. Feeling cold in the strong northwesterly wind. Gales at times, especially through the afternoon. Maximum temperature 5 °C.
Outlook for Thursday to Saturday:
A few rather cloudy few days with a little light rain at times. Breezy, chance of southwesterly gales on Saturday.
