Cold and windy with frequent blustery showers, occasionally wintry across Shetland. Showers then easing through the afternoon to leave a drier evening for most. Strong to gale northwesterly winds, moderating through the afternoon. Maximum temperature 6 °C.
Tonight:
A few showers will continue overnight with the occasional clearer spell. Where skies do clear, light west to southwest winds will give a touch of frost for inland areas. Minimum temperature 3 °C.
Friday 28th January:
An occasional shower to start the day, then a band of more persistent rain will spread east from late morning. West to southwest winds strengthening to gales from mid-afternoon. Maximum temperature 10 °C.
Outlook for Saturday to Monday:
Blustery showers on Saturday with northwesterly gales, severe gales over Shetland. Lighter winds on Sunday with showers or longer spells of rain. Breezy with showers again on Monday.
