Often cloudy with occasional showers through the day, sometimes heavy. Somewhat brighter skies developing through the afternoon, especially later. Brisk southwesterly winds, strong for a time this morning. Maximum temperature 8 °C.

Tonight:

Clear periods and showers through this evening and night, although showers turning less frequent across Orkney later. Brisk southwesterly winds gradually easing down, veering westerly later. Minimum temperature 5 °C.

Sunday 13th February:

Bright spells and the odd shower, clouding over in the afternoon and evening. Light westerly winds veering northeasterly later and becoming strong in the evening. Maximum temperature 7 °C.

Outlook for Monday to Wednesday:

Mainly dry on Monday, just isolated wintry showers. Unsettled on Tuesday and Wednesday with rain at times, becoming windy by midweek.
