Bright spells and scattered showers, these occasionally wintry especially for Shetland. Showers will become fewer this afternoon with more sunshine. Strong to gale northerly winds easing this afternoon. Maximum temperature 6 °C.
Tonight:
Showers mostly dying out leaving a dry night with clear periods. Winds becoming light and it will be a cold night with a touch of frost. Minimum temperature -1 °C.
Tuesday 15th February:
Cloudy skies and outbreaks of rain reaching Orkney in the morning. Rain will continue in the afternoon, eventually reaching Shetland during evening. Cold with mostly light winds. Maximum temperature 6 °C.
Outlook for Wednesday to Friday:
Rain followed by blustery showers later Wednesday, turning wintry on Thursday. Becoming windy with gales, possibly severe gales. Drier, brighter on Friday with lighter winds and staying cold.
