Rain clearing east through this morning, soon bright with scattered showers across Orkney, but the rain lingering from much of the morning across Shetland, heavy at times with southeasterly gales. Winds turning westerly and easing. Maximum temperature 8 °C.
Tonight:
Clear spells and showers through this evening and overnight, occasionally heavy and wintry. Winds turning into the north or northwest later in the night, fresh to strong at times. Minimum temperature 2 °C.
Monday 21st February:
A bright but chilly day with scattered showers, these wintry at times. Strong north or northwest winds, these easing later in the day. Maximum temperature 6 °C.
Outlook for Tuesday to Thursday:
Rain soon clearing to showers on Tuesday, windy with gales at times. Further gales with rain pushing east on Wednesday. Cold and windy on Thursday, frequent wintry showers.
