A dry and bright day with some good spells of sunshine around, especially across Orkney where it will feel warm in the sunshine. Shetland likely to see rather more in the way of cloud this afternoon. Occasionally fresh southerly breeze. Maximum temperature 14 °C.
Tonight:
Remaining dry with clear spells around, these most prolonged across Orkney, where with light winds, it will turn quite chilly. Minimum temperature 3 °C.
Wednesday 23rd March:
Continuing largely dry with some good spells of sunshine. Cloud increasing across Shetland later with a few spots of evening rain possible. Mainly light southerly or southwesterly winds. Maximum temperature 15 °C.
Outlook for Thursday to Saturday:
High pressure brings mainly dry, settled weather with clear or sunny spells through the coming days, although Shetland looks cloudier at times with a little rain.
