Wintry showers, initially frequent and heavy with a risk of hail and thunder, but turning lighter with some sunny spells in the afternoon. Feeling bitterly cold in fresh northeasterly winds. Maximum temperature 5 °C.

Tonight:

Further wintry showers accompanied by gusty northeasterly winds, snow may lie overnight, some clear spells too and feeling very cold again. Minimum temperature 0 °C.

Thursday 31st March:

Further wintry showers, some heavy with a rumble or thunder and fresh northerly winds continuing, although easing in the evening. Maximum temperature 4 °C.

Outlook for Friday to Sunday:

Cold, showery conditions continuing with frost at night but winds lighter, snow showers on Friday but turning to sleet or rain on Saturday and Sunday.
