Remaining overcast and occasionally misty. Band of heavy rain reaching Orkney late evening, which clears into Shetland overnight. Winds strong early in day. Minimum temperature 9 °C.
Wednesday 18th May:
Band of heavy rain across Shetland at first, otherwise brighter spells mixed with sharp showers. South to southwest breezes. Maximum temperature 15 °C.
Outlook for Thursday to Saturday:
Showery with occasional brighter spells. Showers heavy at times, also merging to longer periods of rain sporadically.
