There will be early heavy rain across Shetland, soon clearing, otherwise mainly dry and bright with some sunny spells. However, the chance of the odd shower, mainly across Shetland. Moderate to fresh south or southwest winds. Maximum temperature 16 °C.
Mainly dry and bright this evening, and staying dry with clear spells overnight. Winds will be moderate from the south. Minimum temperature 8 °C.
Friday 20th May:
Dry and bright for much of the day with some sunny spells. Showers likely to develop over Orkney later in the afternoon, perhaps extending into Shetland in the evening. Maximum temperature 16 °C.
Outlook for Saturday to Monday:
Mainly dry and bright on Saturday, much more unsettled with rain or showers on Sunday, heavy at times. Bright spells and showers on Monday. Breezy.
