The new exhibition to be held at the Northlight Gallery, Stromness from Saturday the 4th to Thursday 16th June is a celebration of works done by a local artist, Gloria Wallington O’Shea.
For over 30 years a neat stack of drawings and paintings has been under the artist’s bed. This vibrant collection of work done over a three week period was inspired by the busy docklands of London and around Greenwich during an important time in British Architectural history in the mid eighties. Perhaps the main source of inspiration was meeting her future husband John Wallington, who was, as she said with a smile, ‘her muse.’
