Cloudy with further outbreaks of rain during morning, soon becoming lighter and patchy. Cloud clearing from midday, then drier and brighter later in the afternoon with some sunshine. Strong southerly then southwest winds, perhaps coastal gales for Orkney. Maximum temperature 16 °C.

Tonight:

A bright and breezy evening. Patchy cloud and clear spells overnight, with scattered showers through the early hours. Strong southwesterly winds, perhaps coastal gales in west. Minimum temperature 8 °C.

Saturday 18th June:

A windy day with strong to gale force southwesterly winds. Bright and cool morning with scattered showers. Cloudier in the afternoon with a chance of some longer spells of rain. Maximum temperature 14 °C.

Outlook for Sunday to Tuesday:

Scattered showers or longer spells of rain Sunday with northwesterly winds easing. Bright start to the week but turning cloudy later Monday with patchy rain and haar, persisting into Tuesday.
