Today 30th June:

A cloudy, occasionally misty day, although Shetland may have quite a bright start, however a wet start for Orkney, rain will clear north. Later there is a risk of showers. Light to moderate southeasterlies. Maximum temperature 16 °C.

Tonight:

A few showers may continue into the evening, one or two might be heavy with thunder. Likely to be misty or foggy at times and winds will fall very light. Minimum temperature 9 °C.

Friday 1st July:

Mist and fog to start the day and the possibility of some rain for much of the day, perhaps Orkney having a few brighter spells, winds will be light. Maximum temperature 15 °C.

Outlook for Saturday to Monday:

Saturday and Sunday will see further showers and an increase in the winds before things turn a little more settled on Monday with some brighter weather.
