Low cloud and patchy haar will quickly clear Orkney but may affect Shetland at times into the afternoon. Otherwise a mostly dry day with bright spells but isolated showers possible over Orkney. Freshening southerly winds. Warm, especially across Orkney. Maximum temperature 21 °C.

Tonight:

A mostly dry and cloudy evening but outbreaks of rain will spread east overnight. A mild and breezy night with fresh or strong south to southwesterly winds. Minimum temperature 12 °C.

Tuesday 12th July:

A cloudy start with outbreaks of rain. Becoming drier and brighter with just the odd passing shower. Feeling cooler with strong southwesterly winds. Maximum temperature 16 °C.

Outlook for Wednesday to Friday:

Bright spells and showers on Wednesday with strong westerly winds. Mainly dry and bright on Thursday with lighter winds. A chance on further showers on Friday.
