Orkney Islands Council has launched a survey on the provision of flexible bus services in areas of the islands where buses are few or not found at all.
Currently an ‘on demand’ service for some specific groups already works in Orkney. Users of of the Dial a Bus Service, Hamnavoe Carers and Marengo Bus are being consulted separately.
With rising fuel prices and the impact private vehicle use has on the environment – a flexible service to support the existing services on the islands might be just the ticket.
The survey closes on Sunday 7th August.
