The charity Alzheimer’s Scotland is hoping people in Orkney will come forward to take part in the 2022 Memory Walk raising funds for dementia awareness and research.
It’s Your Walk, Your Way.
The idea is that you choose where your walk takes place and how far you go. A few weeks ago Luke Stanger, his family and friends went on their own Memory Walk for ‘Big Granny’. Big Granny’s Memory Walk Update. They raised a wonderful £2,390 for MacMillan and Alzheimer’s Scotland
The date set for Scotland’s Memory Walk is the weekend of 16th -18th September. You can create a team with friends, family or colleagues and fundraise via your own personalised Memory Walk page. The distance doesn’t matter, whether it’s 1km, 5km or 500km. It might even be a lap of the garden.
