  1. Anything about Cliff Richards always reminds me of my sister Reene – who was a big, big fan. I wrote about her love of Cliff, here….. https://theorkneynews.scot/2020/07/18/the-young-ones/

As chance would have it, I watched ‘Summer Holiday’ yesterday evening – having watched ‘Girl Happy’ and ‘Jailhouse Rock’ featuring Elvis, the evening before. All v. sexist to modern eyes and ears, but…..can’t beat the music – the root of so many other good sounds.

Watching ‘Jailhouse Rock’ and admiring the style of the men as well as the women, reminded me of ‘Duke’ Wales – The Orkney Rockabilly – he will have devoured those films to get the look just right. https://theorkneynews.scot/2020/02/13/album-review-blame-it-on-the-thunderbird/

Elvis or Cliff? Elvis, every time, for me – and for ‘Duke’ too.
