Areas of mist with fog patches, also quite a showery day, with some outbreaks turning heavy, partially across Shetland. Best chance of limited brighter spells across Orkney. Winds south to southeast freshening at times over Shetland. Maximum temperature 19 °C.
Tonight:
Scattered showers. Areas of low cloud, mist and fog patches, most persistent over eastern coasts of Shetland. Winds light and variable across Orkney, fresh from south to southeast for Shetland. Minimum temperature 11 °C.
Wednesday 24th August:
Early mist and fog patches and occasional sharp showers. Gradually largely dry and increasingly sunny conditions feeding from the south from late morning reaching all by mid-afternoon. Maximum temperature 19 °C.
Outlook for Thursday to Saturday:
Thursday and Friday brings a mix of sunshine and isolated light showers. Saturday mainly dry and sunny. Winds from south to southwest.
