A fine, mainly dry day , cloudy at times over Shetland in the morning otherwise a bright day with some good sunny spells developing. Occasionally fresh northeasterly breeze. Maximum temperature 16 °C.

Tonight:

A mostly dry and mild night, clear periods over Shetland at first otherwise cloudy with brief clear spells. Fresh northeasterly breeze. Minimum temperature 10 °C.

Saturday 10th September:

Another mainly dry day Saturday, cloudy with the best of the sunny spells over Orkney. Fresh northeasterly breeze eases from the afternoon. Maximum temperature 15 °C.

Outlook for Sunday to Tuesday:

Dry and bright through much of Sunday but heavy evening rain likely with freshening southerly winds. Cloudy with occasional rain Monday, clearing overnight with Tuesday mainly dry and bright.
