After a wet start Orkney will turn brighter but showers will return later. East or southeast winds strengthening. Maximum temperature 13 °C.

Tonight:

Rather cloudy with occasional showers, these becoming more isolated later in the night with some longer clear spells. North to northeast winds strong for a time. Minimum temperature 7 °C.

Tuesday 18th October:

A bright and mainly dry day with some sunny spells. There could still be a few well scattered light showers. Lighter winds. Maximum temperature 12 °C.

Outlook for Wednesday to Friday:

Wednesday will be mainly dry with some sunshine, lighter winds. Cloudier and windier on Thursday with some rain. Friday cloudy, misty, patchy rain but less wind again.
