A dry night with clear periods at times. Light easterly winds across Shetland at first but fresh winds across Orkney spread north later. Minimum temperature 7 °C.

Thursday 20th October:

Cloud with outbreaks of rain spread across Orkney Thursday morning and Shetland in the afternoon. Fresh southeasterly winds. Maximum temperature 11 °C.

Outlook for Friday to Sunday:

Mainly cloudy and misty with some light rain or drizzle on Friday. Mainly dry and windy on Saturday. Continuing mainly dry in decreasing wind on Sunday.
