There will be sunny spells with isolated showers this morning, the showers becoming more frequent through the afternoon, heavy at times. Wind freshening from the southwest. Maximum temperature 12 °C.


Showers dying out for a time, but rain then sweeping through overnight, occasionally heavy. Mild and windy, strong to gale force south or southwest winds. Minimum temperature 8 °C.

Thursday 10th November:

Mostly cloudy with outbreaks of rain, but some drier and brighter spells expected over Orkney. Very mild with strong to gale force south or southwest winds, severe gales possible later. Maximum temperature 16 °C.

Outlook for Friday to Sunday:

Cloudy with outbreaks of rain on Friday. Mainly dry and bright on Saturday, haar possible later. Dry on Sunday, but mist and haar possible across Shetland. Windy and mild.
