The weekly update of Covid related deaths published by the National Records of Scotland on 1st of December 2022 is as follows:
- As of 27th November 2022, there have been a total of 16,132 deaths registered in Scotland where the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) was mentioned on the death certificate.
- In week 47 there were 40 deaths involving COVID-19 (the same as the previous week).
- The provisional total number of all deaths registered in Scotland in week 47 of 2022 (21st to 27th November) was 1,257 (80 or 7% above the 5-year average).

age 65 – 74: 10 Deaths. 5 Female, 5 Male
age 75 – 84: 13 Deaths, 9 Female, 4 Male
age 85+ 13 Deaths, 5 Female, 8 Male
There were 7 deaths in Care Homes, 4 at Home/Non Institutional Setting and 29 in Hospital
There were 1,257 deaths registered in Scotland as of the 27th of November. There were 80 excess deaths taken over the 5 year average. Of the 40 deaths involving Covid, Covid was the underlying cause in 24 of them.
