Cloudy, damp this morning with patchy light rain. The rain will clear from Shetland later this morning and from Orkney early this afternoon with drier, brighter weather developing. Brisk southeast winds. Maximum temperature 8 °C.

Tonight:

It will be mainly dry with clear periods and just a few passing showers. A colder night with light southeasterly winds. Minimum temperature 3 °C.

Sunday 4th December:

It will be a brighter day with some sunshine, Also dry for much of the time, just a few light showers at first. Cold with light easterly winds. Maximum temperature 7 °C.

Outlook for Monday to Wednesday:

Band of light rain crossing Isles Monday then turning much colder with strengthening northerly winds. Showers developing Tuesday becoming more frequent, heavy on Wednesday, turning increasingly to sleet and snow.
