Adele MacLeod, Gavin George Scott Park and Robert James Harding of Teneo Financial Advisory Limited were appointed Joint Administrators of M&Co Trading Limited (“the Company”) on 9 December 2022. M&Co in Kirkwall which is a favourite with shoppers has gone into administration along with all the other shops in the retail chain.
The company has 180 shops employing over 3,900 workers.
The Kirkwall shop supported many charities and good causes locally. The Kirkwall team posted this notice on their Facebook page on Sunday, 11th December
The Kirkwall shop remains open where staff are staying positive despite this dreadful news coming so close to Christmas for them.
M&Co weathered the lockdowns of Covid and in 2020 put in measures to protect staff and customers, delivering an excellent and safe shopping experience. It also offered 20% off for key workers.
