Tonight:
Wintry showers will die out across Orkney but continuing over Shetland. Strong winds turning northerly and easing overnight with a widespread frost developing. Minimum temperature -3 °C.
Sunday 18th December:
Bright spells and a few showers, these wintry at first but turning to rain in the afternoon. Feeling cold with strengthening southeasterly winds reaching gale force later. Maximum temperature 5 °C.
Outlook for Monday to Wednesday:
Wet and windy on Monday morning then drier in the afternoon with lighter winds. Feeling much milder. Breezy with showers or longer spells of rain on Tuesday and Wednesday.
