A few showers this morning, otherwise mainly dry. Thickening cloud will bring rain to Orkney by mid-afternoon and to Shetland by evening. Strengthening southeasterly winds. Maximum temperature 7 °C.

Tonight:

Rain clearing away this evening. Then the rest of the night will see frequent showers, or some longer periods of rain across Shetland. Windy with southwesterly gales. Minimum temperature 5 °C.

Wednesday 11th January:

Cloudy with showers, some longer spells of rain across Shetland. Windy with westerly gales at first, easing through the afternoon. Maximum temperature 7 °C.

Outlook for Thursday to Saturday:

Mainly dry on Thursday, showery rain spreading northeast later. Cold and windy with showers or longer spells of rain on Friday. Drier with just a few showers on Saturday.
